DIY: Holiday Party Poppers

Who doesn't love parties and celebrating? I often buy party poppers to make my table look a little more festive for the holidays. They're fun, but sometimes the treats inside are less than exciting when you buy them from the store. I decided to make my own with left over toilet paper rolls and they turned out great! This is a fun and easy way to give your dinner guests a customized treat.

Inspired by Style Me Pretty

  • Wrapping paper or crepe paper
  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Double stick tape
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon
  • Candy
  • Confetti
  • Cardstock

  1. Place double stick tape on wrapping paper or crepe paper and put the toilet paper roll on tape and roll across the paper. Be sure to apply tape on the end of the paper and secure.
  2. Twist one end of the paper and tie with ribbon.
  3. Fill the roll with candy and confetti.
  4. Twist the other end and secure with ribbon.
  5. To personalize each candy popper. fold cardstock and cut to create a "flag" look. Write name or message on paper and attach to the finished popper.

  1. This holiday party poppers idea is just great! I haven't tried anything like this but I definitely need to try this out with some more creativity. Thanks for the idea. Actually I am gathering ideas for the birthday party of my son at some local private parties Los Angeles venue.
